We tell ourselves stories in order to live. - Joan Didion

We all tell ourselves stories about who we are. Our narratives inform how we move about the world. They shape the arcs of our lives. But how closely are you paying attention to your own narratives? And do they align with your deepest aspirations and goals?

My coaching philosophy is informed by my background as a meditator and writer.  A common misperception about meditation is that it involves "emptying the mind".  But anyone who's tried to meditate knows the mind has a vibrant, chaotic life of its own. When you attend to your thoughts with curiosity, patterns and narratives emerge. As a writer, I am attuned to the nuances of language.  How we use language signals how we feel on a conscious and subconscious level. By listening deeply and attentively, I'll help you identify the narratives that serve you and help you let go of those that don't. Together, we'll "re-author" your narratives, empowering you to activate a life that's authentic to  who you are and who you want to become.

While practicing law, I burned out. I was anxious and overwhelmed. By becoming aware of my own reactive thought patterns, I was able to navigate stressful days with a greater sense of clarity and control.  I'm here to help you do the same.

I coach professionals across a variety of industries, including law,  finance, non-profit, and the arts. I am certified to teach meditation through Warrior One, a training program specifically designed to help lawyers and other high stress professionals.

What else? I co-host the Break Form Podcast.  I studied History and International Studies at Yale and Law at the University of Southern California.  I live in Los Angeles. I look forward to working with you.
